What the platform covers
Most apparel quality teams run four or five disconnected tools: a checklist template in Excel, photos in a chat thread, an AQL table printed on paper, a defect log someone maintains by hand, and a monthly slide deck that summarises all of it a month too late. QualityIris replaces that stack with one record per purchase order that every check writes into.
- Garment manufacturing QC Inline inspections during cutting, sewing and finishing, and final audits after packing. Both write to the same garment PO, so the inline findings and the final verdict sit on one timeline instead of in two systems.
- Defect analysis Iris AI classifies defect type and severity from the inspector's photograph against your own defect library, and the inspector confirms or corrects it. Corrections feed back into the model's prompt, so classification tightens with use. Pareto and defect-rate analytics roll the same data up by factory, buyer and style.
- Factory-level lot audits ISO 2859-1 AQL sampling for a continuing series of lots, including the clause 9.3 Normal / Tightened / Reduced switching rules as an advisory recommendation per factory and buyer, plus ISO 2859-2 LQ sampling for isolated lots.
- Supplier quality management Every factory carries its own defect rate, first-pass yield, pass/fail history and current inspection severity, so a supplier review is a filter rather than a data-gathering exercise. Factory standing is visible to the inspector before the visit starts.
- Offline mobile inspections The factory floor is where signal is worst. Checklists, defects, measurements and photographs all capture with no connection and sync automatically on reconnect — no app store install, it runs in the phone browser.
- Barcode verification Scan carton and polybag barcodes with the phone camera or a Bluetooth HID scanner, record readability pass/fail per sample and keep the scan photo as evidence. Certified ISO 15416 A–F grading needs a calibrated verifier — QualityIris records readability evidence, not a certified grade.
- Inspection checklists Reusable checklist templates per buyer, per garment style or per inspection type, with custom items added on the floor. Both inline and final-audit checklists are customizable rather than fixed.
- Compliance management Product-quality compliance: sampling to the published ISO standards, measurement tolerances against the tech pack, labelling and packing checks, signed and timestamped reports, and corrective action plans tracked to closure. Social and factory-ethics auditing is not part of the platform.
- Production monitoring Quantities cut, sewn, finished and packed captured at each visit and tracked against the buyer delivery date, with Iris Insights flagging the stages that put the date at risk.
- Quality dashboard Defect rate, first-pass yield, pass/fail trend, inspector hours and open corrective actions, filtered by factory, buyer, style and date. Buyers and factories get their own scoped dashboard, isolated from your internal metrics.
